Lovense

Gush 2 makes connected play easy, even if the sensation is a compromise.

This is the Lovense device we reach for when we want to start quickly, stay hands-free, and clean up without a project. Its focused vibration does not feel as good to us as Max 2 or Solace Pro, but we use it often for a reason.

Editorial disclosure

We bought our Gush 2 ourselves. Lovense did not supply a review unit, pay for this review, or approve our verdict. The labeled Gush 2 Motion purchase link may earn us a commission. That current model has an added motion sensor we have not tested.

01

Meet the device

A small, open alternative to a motorized sleeve.

Gush 2 focuses vibration and oscillation below the tip rather than enclosing the body in a sleeve or moving through a powered stroke. Our package contained the device, two strap options, and a charging cable, as best we recall. Its open shape is the foundation of the review: less coverage and less motion, but far less preparation.

The casing on our unit says only Lovense. Its features match the original Gush 2, so that is the model we are reviewing. Lovense now sells Gush 2 Motion, which it says has the same fit and motor while adding a motion sensor. We have not used that sensor and do not treat the newer model as fully tested.

02

Getting started

Strap it on and get into the game.

With a strap fitted snugly, Gush 2 is genuinely hands-free. We do not need a desk mount, sleeve assembly, or a carefully arranged position. It is comfortable enough to wear, although it is not the most comfortable device we own. Its compact size and ability to sit under clothing make it easier to keep nearby than our larger toys.

The single button is adequate for turning it on, stopping it, and changing patterns. Lovense Remote gives us more control when we want it. We have also tried using Gush 2 with water-based lubricant as a handheld stroker, but that did not improve the experience enough to replace strapped use.

03

The physical experience

Useful stimulation, concentrated in one place.

Contact is good, particularly when the straps hold the device firmly against the body. The tradeoff is that almost all the stimulation lands in the same spot. It will usually get the job done, but a regular pattern can grow repetitive and less noticeable as a session goes on.

Among our Gush 2, Max 2, and Solace Pro, this is the least pleasurable for us on sensation alone. That does not make it a bad device. It means the recommendation rests on the freedom to move, the hands-free fit, and how little effort stands between wanting to use it and actually using it.

04

Connected play

It joins the game quickly, but cannot reproduce every movement.

We have used Gush 2 with Can I get an Iced Coffee with Breastmilk!?, Projekt Melody, Third Crisis, Breeders of the Nephelym, Carnal Instinct, and Cycle of Corruption. The first two gave us especially good connected sessions. Third Crisis and Carnal Instinct use built-in Lovense integration; our Cycle of Corruption session used Lovense through Intiface, not a separate Lovense game mode.

Gush 2 responds to game commands, but its single area of stimulation cannot express the same range of on-screen motion as Solace Pro. In carefully choreographed scenes, the difference is obvious. In games with less tailored device cues, its ease of use can matter more than fine motion fidelity. Our connectivity catalog distinguishes a game we have used from a fully documented device result.

05

Living with it

The easy cleanup is part of why we keep using it.

The open body is much easier to wash and dry than a removable sleeve. Lovense describes the Gush 2 family as IPX7 waterproof and instructs owners to clean the original with warm water and mild soap, then dry it thoroughly. We have not tested submersion. Follow the maker's instructions and check the charging contacts before storing it.

We have not measured battery life or noise, and we are not assigning a numeric value score to the superseded original model using the selling price of its successor. Those limits matter, but they do not erase what repeated use has made clear: Gush 2 is one of our easiest devices to set up, put away, and reach for again.

06

Final recommendation

Our convenient favorite, not our pleasure champion.

We recommend the original Gush 2 at 8.0 out of 10 for someone who values portable, hands-free connected play and simple cleanup. It is one of our go-to devices, even though Max 2 and especially Solace Pro feel better to us. If the strongest physical sensation is your priority, start with those comparisons. If easy use is what will get a device out of the drawer, Gush 2 makes a persuasive case.

The purchase link below leads to Gush 2 Motion, not the exact unit we tested. Lovense says its fit and motor remain the same, but the added motion-sensing control is outside this review. Check the current listing and price before buying; we will revisit value when we have tested that version itself.
